Welcome to my sweat shop,
well since we are not turning up the heater much,
it is more accurate to say
Welcome to my ice box!
I have been sewing, like the rest of you,
like a maniac,
hoping to be done soon!
I saw the pattern for these ornaments in
"quilting arts magazine: gifts" of this year.
And of course I had to try!
They are made using an old heirloom sewing technique,
and pretty easy to make.
I like the smaller size better.
I changed a little the size they gave as I did not like
the gap at the bottom, you can see it on the larger red and white.
I prefer to see the 2 parts meeting at the bottom
and a smaller opening.
I have until the end of the week to finish
a few projects that need to be sent to France,
after that, I will be making some more!
Happy sewing!

ReplyDeleteThose are so festive! Will have to keep that idea for next year.
