a new felt bunny

Over the years I am sure you have noticed my interest in 🐰,
so it will no surprise that I made a few more.

This little one is my latest, so cute!
And she lives in the land of mushrooms 🍄, another obsession.
All in felt, except for the collar of the robe:

a little bit of strawberry 🍓 fabric!
Notice the functional pocket?!

The pattern is from Ricrac, from their Easter bundle.

Underneath, she wears a embroidered felt night gown,
and some pompom sleepers, of course!

I of course painted my wood mushrooms to match her outfit,
the large one is an ornament that I purchased at Lucketts last Christmas.

Hoppy Bunny!

A few linen pumpkin coasters

While blogs and Instagram are full of Christmas things,
I am still in fall and pumpkins mood.
After all pumpkins are a big part of Thanksgiving,
and I am ready to celebrate it in a couple weeks.

So I made a few linen pumpkin coasters!
They are inspired by Minki Kim's work,
she has a great tutorial on you tube,
quite easy to follow.
I am a fan of her work, and have both of her books,
I made a lot of sew illustrated projects!

I kept my pumpkins quite simple,
just linen and little hand embroidery:

and some fall print for the back:

I changed the embroidery a little between each one:

still, all very simple.
I gave them all away, so I need to make one more for me!

I will leave you with one more fall picture,
as my backyard is at its best:

Happy sewing!

a few pumpkins and cabbages on a Halloween front porch

With last year Halloween being cancelled,
it is my first year decoration our new front porch for trick or treat:

and I had a good time!
I started with setting up my pennant from last year:

Then added some decorative cabbages in lovely shade of purply green

still good after all these years!

The crows took back their places on the porch,
on top of ladder and pumpkins

Our big pumpkin has not been carved yet,
Miss C. is doing it this weekend,
I am not sure what she will do,
but last year one was awesome:

Elmo on fire, very fitting for the pandemic!

Happy Halloween!

a simple bunny towel

With the bunny season being early this year,
I have not had much time to sew/craft/decorate with rabbit!

At least this little craft was fast and I could count on my teenagers
to bake me some cookies!

I started with a plain turquoise towel,
I copied a bunny shape onto some wonder under,
ironed on the back of some spring fabric (Tilda I think),
and cut out the shape:

I removed the paper backing, ironed it in place
and straight stitched around the rabbit.

Finally I sewed a little ribbon/lace below to compliment the little bunny.

And it looks just perfect on the stove,
I have not washed it yet,
but I think it doesn't need to be just decorative!

Last year, I sewed/crafted:

blog anniversary

Eleven years!
I have been writing this little blog of mine for 11 years
and I still enjoy it!

While it has not grown much in all of these years,
I have; I tried and learned so many things.
There are still many things to try and learn
and get better at it,
but there is time, even during pandemic,
even as an essential worker.

Right now, I have mostly have time for small projects,
like this work in process that I hope to finish in time for Valentine's day:

Heart, candy, Eiffel tower, what's not to love?!

Happy day!

Christmas crafting: it was a busy month!

This December was very busy with a lot of crafting, sewing, quilting, baking. I found it easier to share on Instagram (not something I thou...
