a sunflower pillow

Here is my latest pillow,

perfect for a late summer day,

a sunflower with a modern twist

from my choices of fabric:

a mix of Halloween print, Liberty of London quilter print, a precious yellow 

from Ayumi of my Pink Penguin, a simple dark blue and a cool letter print.

I used SewLuxFabric pouch pattern, as I was planning on making one

but as I finished the top, I realized it was meant to be a pillow!

So I added a band on the side and top,

and quilted it simply so that the 🌻would pop.

Finally I stitched a back and stuffed it.

And it looks perfect on the chair in our bedroom,

with a little IKEA blanket (in case it ever gets cool!)

and my summer hat.

a new felt bunny

Over the years I am sure you have noticed my interest in 🐰,so it will no surprise that I made a few more.

This little one is my latest, so cute!

And she lives in the land of mushrooms 🍄, another obsession.

All in felt, except for the collar of the robe:

a little bit of strawberry 🍓 fabric!

Notice the functional pocket?!

The pattern is from Ricrac, from their Easter bundle.

 Underneath, she wears a embroidered felt night gown,

and some pompom sleepers, of course!

I of course painted my wood mushrooms to match her outfit,

the large one is an ornament that I purchased at Lucketts last Christmas.

a new Halloween pennant with felt appliques

This is my second Halloween pennant,I made it for Miss C. to decorate her dorm room,she is a huge Halloween fan,so it is a perfect little present:

Both are pretty fast to make,I used my old Sizzix cutter for the shapes,cutting them out of felt, 

and I followed this tutorial from Ameroonie Designs for the little flags.All is machine stitched, not time for handwork!

I used the same mix of Halloween prints that I used for this little pumpkin(also with her at college):

a snowy mantel with a new deer embroidery

After the New Year, I removed most of the Christmas décor,but I missed so much all the lightsthat I decided to leave the garland on the fireplace mantel.The lights are on a timer and I love seeing it thereas I come home from work(no remote working for me.)

I did remove the Santa, my reindeer sleepers, the deerand my Noel embroidery.I left the tree parts of the décor and added somesnow/winter accents, like the giant snow flake from last year,and this cute deer embroidery that I just finished.(free pattern from this French magazine,I think it is Veronique Enginger pattern)

Of course nothing fight the chill like a nice fire:
